After you have made a PayPal payment (PayPal can be used for Credit Cards too):
You should receive a mail telling you that your payment has been verified.
You should then go to the My Account section. Make sure you are logged in to the account you used to purchase MEAP.
You should then see the download link.
You can also see the download link in the email you received and at the View Order area.
Some things that can prevent the download working:
Be sure you are logged in. You must be logged in for the download to work.
Try using an alternative browser or updating your current one.
Check cookies and clear them if required.
Windows Firewall is fine but other firewalls or security apps may block the download.
The download will NOT WORK WELL with a download manager.
If the above does not help please send me a message, including your user name and order number (not password).
If you buy MEAP it is for your own use ONLY. As far as I am concerned you may use MEAP on as many of your own DAW machines in your studio as you wish. If you feel you are using MEAP on a lot of machines in YOUR OWN STUDIO, you may want to consider making a small donation to justify it.
You are not allowed to share MEAP with another studio.
You are not allowed to share your site login information with anyone else.
You are NOT allowed to copy MEAP and give it to your mates (or your enemies for that matter).
You are not allowed to “share” MEAP in any way, shape or form.
You are definitely not allowed to sell MEAP to someone else.
MEAP is not for sale in any location (physical or online), other than the https://www.meap.biz/ website. If you see MEAP at any other location, it is illegal.
Remember your MEAP purchase is tied to your user information. If you have previously purchased MEAP and then you make a brand new account it will not have a purchase linked to it. Therefore, always keep your MEAP account information safe. If you change email addresses remember to update it in your account area.
Please bear in mind that I am the sole developer. I work my arse off for this project and try to keep everyone happy. Every penny I make from MEAP goes back in to the project in one way or another. P.
Many email providers are now blocking email sent from forums and shops as they (usually incorrectly) believe it is SPAM. There is not much that we can do about this as their requirements to prove we are not sending SPAM are very difficult to meet. The MEAP site does have all the proper MX entries and we always follow up known SPAM report issues but in some cases it is just impossible to get around.
For example: web.de mail sent from the MEAP site sometimes bounces back and is marked as SPAM. Also gmx.de and gmx.net often seem to be returned as SPAM.
If you are trying to register and not receiving your activation email, I suggest you try using a different email account. Lately it seems that Hotmail and Google Mail are working perfectly with no bounce back problems.
If an alternative email address is not available to you, please send a message via the General Contact Form and we’ll get it sorted manually. Bear in mind though that it will always be preferable to have an email account that works properly with the MEAP site, in order to receive download links and replies to support requests etc.
Please Note: This is different from having SPAM filtered out by your email application. This email from MEAP is rejected by your server and will never reach you at all, in any way.
A note about eCheque payments
If you have used PayPal eCheque payment it usually takes about 5-7 days for the eCheque to clear.
After the eCheque has cleared you will receive your MEAP download link automatically.
This is not my rules – This is the way PayPal works with eCheques.
The single biggest problem with support issues is lack of information.
Simply making a post with “MEAP Don’t Work! Why?” as the content, makes it virtually impossible to find out what’s wrong.
Please help me to help you. Use the Support Zip file and give me some clear information.
To the best of my knowledge, every problem users have had with MEAP has been promptly fixed.
Sometimes it takes a little time to pursue the problem and narrow it down. Sometimes this makes users impatient, especially as MEAP is supposed to be a time saving tool. I do understand that and I thank you for your patience.
Take the time to read the manual. It really does have some important points. Especially the bit about key commands.
If you still haven’t found an answer. Search the FAQ and the manual. Your problem may well have been solved already.
Finally, submit a new Support Ticket. Read the following and post plenty of information (as much as you have time to write).
All MEAP versions from 6.62 onward features a new procedure for aiding technical support queries.
It’s very simple:
Whenever MEAP finishes running, (including when your export has been successful) there will be a zip file created that contains some relevant information.
If you have a problem with MEAP simply upload this zip file (meapinfo.zip) as an attachment, along with a post to the Technical Support area of the MEAP forum.
