MEAP 7.69.800 Update Released

MEAP 7.69.800 Button Method

MEAP version 7.69.800 update has been released.

This update is a maintenance release and addresses a rare issue where the EXPORT Key Command would cause MEAP to hang instead of Exporting. This is due to the Key Command being received very inconsistently by Cubase / Nuendo. Therefore the ini file now uses the Button method again as default. Any users who were having success with KeyCommand method can change back to that method in the ini file if desired.

Also we have completed some test in Cubase 7.5 and MEAP seems to behave normally using the Cubase 7.0 Audio Application option.

  • Changed default method of hitting EXPORT button (6/7) to use the Button method, due to Key Commands behaving inconsistently.
  • Re-compiled MEAP with latest compiler (14.0.18)

MEAP 7.69.719 Update Released

MEAP 7.69.719

MEAP version 7.69.719 update has been released.

Addresses erratic behaviour with Skip Muted Tracks and Folder Tracks. Note – New ini file required:

The tolerance settings for this are between 0 and 1. 1 will force an exact match. Less than 1 will allow MEAP to find some graphics that are not an exact match. Setting this number too low will result in MEAP finding all sorts of things that it should not.

The first setting (def_coef_colour_tolerance=0.7) is for finding a lit (red) solo button on a selected track and therefore can be quite low as the red Solo button is quite distinctive we want to be able to find this button even if it appears slightly different on the user’s screen.

The second setting (def_coef_freeze_tolerance=0.97) is for finding a Frozen Solo button on a selected track. If this value is set too low, MEAP may think an ordinary Solo button is a match export that track.

The second setting (def_coef_skip_tolerance=0.97) is for finding a the Mute button (or the folder open / close) on a selected track. If this value is set too low, MEAP may think an ordinary Mute button is a match and skip every track..

Note: If you are having trouble with this area (skipping muted tracks, folder tracks or odd behaviour when using frozen tracks) the best way to resolve it would be to get an exact capture of your setup’s Mute Button, Folder Open / Closed and Frozen Solo on a selected track. Then set the values to 1 (exact match). The easiest way to do this is to use the MEAP SHOTS application. If you are unsure how to do this please contact support.

In the ini file:

def_coef_colour_tolerance=0.7
def_coef_freeze_tolerance=0.97
def_coef_skip_tolerance=0.97

7.69.719 UPDATE:

  • Addressed problem with erratic behaviour if Skip Muted tracks is active (see notes)
  • Added Skip Tolerance to ini file (see notes)
  • Re-compiled MEAP with latest compiler (14.0.16)

MEAP 7.69.595 Update Released

MEAP 7.69.595

MEAP version 7.69.595 update has been released.

This update speeds up the initial screen capture when getting track names. It does this by dividing your screen into thirds and only looking at the left third. This can be done because normally Cubase’s track list will reside on the far left of your screen.

If this is not the case for you then the figure can be easily adjusted using the ini file:

[image_options]
left_screen_fraction=3

The number 3 is the fraction of your screen that MEAP will examine. So if you change this to 2 then MEAP will look only at the left half of the screen.

Also MEAP has been recompiled with the latest software compiler. A bug was fixed that could cause a memory leak when using screen capturing. This may not have affected MEAP but the re-compile was done anyway.

7.69.595 UPDATE:

  • Increased speed of initial capture by at least double
  • Re-compiled all applications with latest compiler (14.12)*
  • *Fixed potential memory leak with screen capture

This is a free update for all registered MEAP users.

MEAP 7.67.165 Update Released

MEAP 7.67.165

MEAP version 7.67.165 update has been released.

This update further addresses the Key Command export method.

When using the “Button” method, if the mouse is over the button it changes colour. So we have to move the mouse before searching for the button…

Now using the Key Command method there is an extra ENTER required. In one case the mouse was coincidentally being moved OVER a MIDI part on screen which caused that ENTER to open the Editor for that MIDI part…

This has been eradicated by changing ENTER to TAB and by removing the mouse move when not using Button method.

7.67.165 UPDATE:

  • Two small changes to address possible export problems using Key Commands in C6 and C7

MEAP 7.67.163 Update Released

MEAP 7.67.163

MEAP version 7.67.163 update has been released.

This update fixes an issue that was introduced with new Key Command for Export, Unfortunately Cubase / Nuendo are very fussy about when they will allow the command to begin an export to be sent.

The issue was very tricky to diagnose because it doesn’t happen all the time.

Additionally, depending on the user’s setup, sometimes the new command issued to give focus back to the Export Audio Dialog would cause a “k” to be entered as well.

It is now solved and anyone who had to revert to using the old Button Press method to start the export, can now go back to the new Key command method.

Also a very minor issue was discovered that could cause a hang if an incorrect audio application was selected. For example if you are using Cubase 7 but you selected Cubase 6 in the MEAP Audio Application area.

7.67.163 UPDATE:

  • Fixed issue with “k” being entered into filename (C6/C7)
  • Fixed long standing issue with missing code which may cause hang if incorrect audio application was selected
  • Added and removed some waits to improve performance
  • Minor tweaks

This is a free update for all registered MEAP users.

Please note, as usual, if you are using any custom MEAP graphics you will need to replace them after installing the update.
