The MEAP Shots Utility
You may be aware that for some functions, MEAP uses small images to find certain things on your screen.
Up until now this has meant that your audio application display settings must be set at the default brightness and contrast etc. This grows especially problematic as more colour options are introduced to the audio application.
For people who do not like or do not want to use the default colour settings for exports it has always been possible to manually edit your own buttons.
This utility makes that task much easier. With the added benefit of being able to send the results to Phil P who will send you back your required edited buttons.
You can find a useful tutorial video on how to use MEAP Shots here:
Before starting, make sure your audio application is open. Set your screen display resolution, Cubase colours and font size etc. to exactly how you like it.
Should be set to the audio application you use.
Desired Screen Shots
Tick the boxes of the screen shots you would like to take. Then hit OK.
You will then be guided through the process of taking the required screen shots. For example - You will be told to Solo a Selected track. When ready hit OK and the shot will be taken.
After all the shots are compiled they will be zipped together. You will see a message telling you where to send the zip file and then the folder where the zip file is stored will open automatically.
We will then check the results and edit the shots accordingly and send you the required graphics back by email.
You should then replace the default graphics with the ones you receive.
You need to overwrite the file that are on your computer here:
Windows 7/8/10 : C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\Phil Pendlebury\MEAP\graphics\[audioapplication]gfx\[PUT_FILES_HERE]
Vista: C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\Phil Pendlebury\MEAP\graphics\[audioapplication]gfx\[PUT_FILES_HERE]
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[yourusername]\Application Data\Phil Pendlebury\MEAP\graphics\[audioapplication]gfx\[PUT_FILES_HERE]
Don't worry about overwriting, there is already a backup of the original buttons.
Also please keep these new files safe as you will need them if you ever update MEAP again.
Make sure your colour tolerances are back at the default etc.
